  • February 13, 2017. Bocas de Barbacoas, Antioquia Colombia. The marshland of Barbacoas contains great natural diversity and is in the process of becoming a Natural Sanctuary with the assistance of The Nature Conservancy among other organizations has helped locals to help preserve the natural diversity of the marshland. The marshland is currently under threat by rampant cattle farms and local fisherman has seen a decline of the native fish that travel from the Marshland up-stream along the Magdalena River.   The Magdalena River is the principal river of Colombia, flowing from south to north for 1,528 Km (949 Miles) from the south in Paramo de las Papas to Bocas de Ceniza in the Atlantic. The Magdalena river basin includes 151 tributaries. Its drainage basin covers 27.3 million hectares, which is 24% of the country’s area and where 66% if the population lives.

  • December 12, 2016. A tent in the camp of the 19th front of FARC illuminates its surrounding in the mountains on the border of Venezuela and Colombia.
  • August 19, 2017. Puerto Triunfo, Antioquia, Colombia. Visitors take pictures at the old entrance of the Hacienda Napoles. The airplane on top it has been said to be a replica of the Piper PA-18 airplane which transported Escobar’s first shipment of cocaine to the US. The luxurious 7.7 sq miles was build and owned by Pablo Escobar in the early 80’s. After his death in 1993, the farmed was abandoned and raided. In 2006, the Colombian Government acquired the ownership of the property. In 2014, an African theme park was built.   • April 7, 2016. Melida (20) with her 9 month old daughter at their home in the state of Caldas, Colombia. Melida was recruited at 9 years old from by three members of FARC at her home in Guaviare persuaded by a promise of a meal. She cannot return to her family for fear of retaliation from FARC but she wishes she never: “ I regret leaving FARC, there I didn’t have to worry about money or problems like now I do as a Civilian”.
